Our spacious, comfy holiday apartments - each with its own kitchen and balcony - are perfect for everyone who wants to combine freedom with comfort. Whenever you are in the mood, we are also happy to give you a real culinary treat in our restaurant or out on the sunny terrace of our guesthouse located right next door. Fresh, hot meals are served there daily. We look forward to treating you to a selection of delicious dishes, accompanied by a domestic beer or a wine from our outstanding collection.

In winter, your stay includes Half-Board PLUS: breakfast buffet, salad & soup for lunch, selection of dinner menus. Half-board included in summer: breakfast buffet and menu selection in the evening.

Just imagine getting to be the first out on the piste or hiking paths, beginning your day with your lungs filled with fresh mountain air - and come evening, essentially having the hills all to yourself, with daytime visitors long since returned to the valley.

A car-free alpine village in winter, with transfer by skidoo included in the price of your room - even your arrival is an adventure in its own right!

Snow conditions you can always count on, marvelous cross-country ski trails, winter hiking paths with 360° panoramas, and premium pistes in the biggest individual ski area in all of Styria (not to mention freeride terrain that is legendary.) Fixed-price ski passes rather than rates that are constantly changing. And 18 mountain huts serving tasty treats, including Kaiserschmarrn that's to die for.

Hiking, walking, mountaineering - on the largest lake plateau in Central Europe. Cancellation Conditions

Sometimes things don’t quite work out as you’ve planned – and we completely understand that. So you know exactly where you stand, here is an overview of our cancellation conditions:

Up to 4 weeks before arrival: Your deposit will be refunded in full. Up to 1 week before arrival: A cancellation fee equal to 3 nights will be charged. In the case of late cancellation or no-show: We will be obliged to charge the full cost of your booking, minus €10 per person per day. The right of withdrawal pursuant to §11 (1) FAGG does not apply. Subject to Austrian Hotel Contracting Conditions (AGBH)

Tip: We highly recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance when you book – in that way, you’ll be protected if ever something unforeseen crops up.

Arrival by Car

from Munich:

Take the A8 autobahn towards Salzburg and then, after crossing the border, continue on the A10 in the direction of Villach. Exit at the Ennstal interchange and follow the B320 towards Liezen/Schladming. From Trautenfels, continue on the B145 (Salzkammergut Strasse) to Bad Mitterndorf. Access to the Tauplitzalm is via the Tauplitzalm Alpenstrasse, about 10 km long and subject to a toll; open year-round. Distance: approx. 260 km, drive time about 3.5 hours.

from Vienna:

Take the A2 autobahn towards Salzburg/Villach, then at the St. Michael interchange continue in the direction of Salzburg. Exit at Liezen, then follow the B320 to Trautenfels and continue on the B145 to Bad Mitterndorf. Distance: approx. 280 km, drive time about 3 hours 20 minutes.

from Graz:

Take the A9 autobahn towards Salzburg, exit at Liezen, then continue as above via Trautenfels and Bad Mitterndorf to the Tauplitzalm. Distance: approx. 160 km, drive time about 2 hours.

Notes:

The autobahns/motorways in Austria require a toll sticker, and reflective safety vests must be carried in the vehicle. Toll stickers are available for purchase at gas stations; additional toll charges may apply. Toll fee for the Tauplitzalm Alpenstrasse on arrival: €16 per car. Parking fee at the Tauplitzalm: €6.50 per night.

Arrival and Departure (Skidoo Shuttle in Winter)

Your room will be available from 2:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. Please plan to arrive by 8:00 p.m. if possible – in winter, our skidoo shuttle will take you in comfort from the parking area at the end of the Tauplitzalm Alpenstrasse directly to your room. For later arrivals, we charge €30 for the skidoo transfer. (Dinner is served from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.)

On the day of your departure, we kindly ask that you vacate your room by 10:00 a.m.
