Delightful Bike Rides & Free Bike Transportation

Pedal across the high plateau at your leisure, then dash down to Bad Mitterndorf in the valley below. Ride along the Salzkammergut Bike Path to the valley lift station in Tauplitz, then simply hop aboard the quad chairlift with your bike for a sweat-free return to the Tauplitzalm village.

Allergy Sufferers Breathe Easy

At an elevation of 1,600 m, the Tauplitzalm is free of dust mites, while pollen levels are minimal. Tip: Simply avoiding allergens is the best form of therapy there is.

Setting out from Tauplitzalm Holidays, it’s easy to leave everyday life behind, take a deep breath, and explore charming Tauplitzalm village. Whether you choose to circle one, two, or even three mountain lakes - all without any elevation gain of note - is entirely up to you.

Via Ferrata

The Gamsblick via ferrata on the Tauplitzalm is the exclusive domain of chamois and experienced climbers. Rated C, it offers an airy adventure topped off by a summit conquest of the 1,981 m Traweng. Starting point: here at Tauplitzalm Holidays, of course!

Stand-Up Paddling

SUP fans are also welcome at the Steirersee, the largest - and for many the most beautiful - of the six mountain lakes on the Tauplitzalm. Boards and paddles are available to borrow at Hotel Berghof. Use is at your own risk, and be sure to bring along your own gear such as a wetsuit etc.

Biking

Setting off from Tauplitzalm Holidays, follow an easy route across our sun-swathed plateau. The descent to Bad Mitterndorf is quite fast, while numerous tours await you down there in the valley. Tip: until 4:00 p.m., the quad chairlift will carry you straight back up to Tauplitzalm Holidays .
